Internet-based realtors win monster settlement | NetworkWorld.com Community

Hard to believe but until today most Internet-based real-estate brokers were considered second class citizens and clients were left in the cold. But perhaps with today’s news that the Department of Justice has reached a proposed settlement with the National Association of Realtors (NAR) that requires NAR to let Internet-based residential real estate brokers compete with traditional brokers that will change.

While lining the cat’s litter box this morning with the neighbor’s unread copy of the Chronicle, I noticed as the litter was piling up a small headline that read “Housing Bargain?”

It’s your standard recruiting story. The Chronicle is looking for folks in the Bay Area who in their words, see “the current slump” as a buying opportunity.

So in an effort to one up the Chronicle I’m looking for agents who have a listing or know of a listing that is the ultimate bargain.

A few days back, Jeff wondered if specializing in niche properties was a good strategy for brokers and sales agents.
