Mortgage rates stand at 5.79

Seems the takeover of Fannie & Freddy as been a good thing...
30 year rates today are now below 6 percent...
the most recent numbers I saw today for a 30 year fixed, conventional... 5.79 percent

Hopefully that will get some folks off the fence...
