These Are The Insanely Expensive Cars That GWU Students Drive. “Students at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. don’t just complain about easy grades, they also drive cars so nice you’d think their campus was the parking lot of the Mall of the Emirates in Dubai.

I wonder how many of these kids are wealthy foreign students. Most of the top (read: most expensive)schools do make fairly robust efforts to recruit these kinds of kids.

Basically, such kids are already rich enough they’ll never have to work much – think kids of Saudi princes and the like – but the sheepskin is viewed as a plus. So they take a four year American vacation, enjoy the dummy classes, drive hot cars, date expensive women, avail themselves of the finest booze and dope, and get it out of their systems before returning to rule their medieval homelands.

Sort of like rich Americans used to send their kids on a tour of the continent back in the day.

It’s a great idea if you’re a statist who wants government to grow big enough to control every aspect of its citizens’ lives.

Toss paycheck withholding of income taxes into that pot, too.

I can hear the strains of “I Will Always Love You” wafting from the televisor in the other room. I don’t know who has to choke on their last cookie to get zombie Whitney Houston off my TeeWee screen, but I wish they’d hurry up and do it.

I don’t know what it is, but there’s nothing the media loves better than a dead celebrity (and that goes doubly if the celebrity in question was one of them. Tim Russert wasn’t half the household name that Whitney Houston was, but the month of sackcloth and ashes decreed for him was of nearly Michael Jacksonian levels.)

I do have to say that I’ve noticed that the celeb media is extending the shelf-life of this particular dead celeb by abruptly dumping the eulogies in favor of an expose-style discussion of the fact that she was a whacked out dope addict who made horrible choices and is in large part responsible for her own terrible life and eventual demise.

One of the difficulties, however, has been the racism which has been glaringly evident in the coverage.  Saturday Night Live did a wonderful send up of this last night, showing the double standard which exists in media today.

Lin is the NBA’s Tim Tebow.  He has brought a wonderful story to the pros, an inspiring, unlikely, and unexpected story.

When pressed further if he believed Satan was attacking America, as he said in his 2008 speech, Santorum insisted the subject is not on the minds of voters.

“Guys these are questions that are not relevant to what’s being discussed in America today,” Santorum said.

Oh, good, um, god. Can’t this weasel just come out and defend his own most deeply-held religious beliefs?

Even more believe in angels. And even more believe in god.

Stand up for what you believe in, dude. Or is this just a foretaste of how strong you’ll be in support of your fiscal, economic, and political principles if you’re elected?

I’m not trying to be cute, here. I really don’t understand why Republicans keep allowing Obama to usurp congressional and constitutional authority.

Probably because Republican voters keep electing Gentry GOP crap sandwiches like John McCain, Lisa Murkowski, and John Boehner, who are far more concerned with their Ruling Class prerogatives, a concern they share with their Democrat counterparts far more sharply than they share any of the concerns of the constituents who stupidly keep right on electing and reelecting them because “they are better than the Democrats.”

My prediction: Republicans will nominate someone and he will defeat President Obama. I just don’t know who that Republican will be.

Yeah, that pretty much sums it up for me, too.
