White House cybersecurity chief is proud to know nothing about cybersecurity

Even if their intentions are good, there’s a reason that we don’t let amateurs do brain surgery or design housing complexes. That logic doesn’t seem to apply at the highest levels of government, however, after Michael Daniel boasted that about his lack of knowledge in his specialist field. In an interview with GovInfoSec, the White House cybersecurity co-ordinator has revealed that he’s not technically-minded, but that he doesn’t “have to be a coder in order to do really well.”

Sure.  He’s a leftist Obama supporter.  What else could he possibly need?

About Bill Quick

I am a small-l libertarian. My primary concern is to increase individual liberty as much as possible in the face of statist efforts to restrict it from both the right and the left. If I had to sum up my beliefs as concisely as possible, I would say, "Stay out of my wallet and my bedroom," "your liberty stops at my nose," and "don't tread on me." I will believe that things are taking a turn for the better in America when married gays are able to, and do, maintain large arsenals of automatic weapons, and tax collectors are, and do, not.
