Islamic State says another U.S. journalist’s fate depends on Obama – Yahoo News

BAGHDAD (Reuters) – Islamic State militants claimed in a video on Tuesday to be holding U.S. journalist Steven Sotloff and said his life depended on U.S. President Barack Obama’s next move.

Let him die.  Then slaughter everybody within a hundred miles of where his body is found.

They want strong horses?  They want death?

Give them what they want.

About Bill Quick

I am a small-l libertarian. My primary concern is to increase individual liberty as much as possible in the face of statist efforts to restrict it from both the right and the left. If I had to sum up my beliefs as concisely as possible, I would say, "Stay out of my wallet and my bedroom," "your liberty stops at my nose," and "don't tread on me." I will believe that things are taking a turn for the better in America when married gays are able to, and do, maintain large arsenals of automatic weapons, and tax collectors are, and do, not.

My heart, it be bleeding for this poor truth-teller.

But it’s clotting up pretty damn quick.

Yeah, I know. Clot in the heart mean death. News flash…you gonna die…I just don’t know when.

Neither do you. Unless you choose the day and place.

Choose well. It is the difference between songs sung in your honor for generations, or just another poor dead bastard.

You’re still dead, you understand. I’m not positive that it makes a difference.

    Tell me…who killed Archimedes?

    • Um…reportedly, it was a Roman soldier who did Archimedes in, against orders, during the Siege of Syracuse.

Re: Sotloff, et.al. and ISIS’ head-lopping – perhaps it would be worthwhile to divert some of that NSA (or other Big-Gubment “intelligence” agency) surveillance expertise to tracking (as closely as possible) the exact whereabouts of U.S. journaljismists who go “on assignment” in the Middle East. That way, if/when “militants” declare their holding of one of these self-deluded chaps as hostage, and intent to “shorten” him terminally, the prospective victim’s location could be confirmed, and the carpet-bombing could commence without further delay.

      Just a suggestion, mind you…
