One Thing I’d Like To See Less Warmth From Is Jimmy Carter

President Carter calls for carbon tax at Aspen renewable energy conference |

ASPEN, Colo. — President Jimmy Carter called a tax on carbon emissions “the only reasonable approach” to combating climate change during an appearance here Tuesday, but lamented that even piecemeal actions are unlikely to get through a divided Congress.

What “climate change?”

By climate change they really mean global warming, but they’re trying very hard to avoid that term, since  there hasn’t been any global warming for 17 years.

By the way, the latest weasel terminology on this matter is that “temperatures haven’t risen quite as fast over the past 18 years as the previous 25.”  This is correct, as long as you understand that “not quite as fast” means, “not risen at all.”

About Bill Quick

I am a small-l libertarian. My primary concern is to increase individual liberty as much as possible in the face of statist efforts to restrict it from both the right and the left. If I had to sum up my beliefs as concisely as possible, I would say, "Stay out of my wallet and my bedroom," "your liberty stops at my nose," and "don't tread on me." I will believe that things are taking a turn for the better in America when married gays are able to, and do, maintain large arsenals of automatic weapons, and tax collectors are, and do, not.
