Obama’s 2012 Debate Boast: I Didn’t Want to Leave Any Troops in Iraq | The Weekly Standard

But during the 2012 foreign policy presidential debate, Obama told the American people that he didn’t support leaving any troops in Iraq. “Every time you’ve offered an opinion, you’ve been wrong,” Obama told GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney. “You said that we should still have troops in Iraq to this day.”

Well, whatever the ludicrous Mittens Romneycare, scamnesty champion, has to say, the American people certainly agreed with Obama:  They didn’t want to leave any troops in Iraq, either.  Nor did the Iraqis themselves want any troops to stay.

Hell, even John “Weasel” McCain gave George W. Bush credit for the withdrawal on the occasion of the US troop departure from Iraq.

Okay, cue the Bushbots and their frenzied shrieks that it’s all Obama’s fault.

About Bill Quick

I am a small-l libertarian. My primary concern is to increase individual liberty as much as possible in the face of statist efforts to restrict it from both the right and the left. If I had to sum up my beliefs as concisely as possible, I would say, "Stay out of my wallet and my bedroom," "your liberty stops at my nose," and "don't tread on me." I will believe that things are taking a turn for the better in America when married gays are able to, and do, maintain large arsenals of automatic weapons, and tax collectors are, and do, not.
