Scott Hofstra, spokesman for the United Kentucky Tea Party, said he isn’t backing McConnell and “taking the lesser of the two evils approach.” Many conservatives, Hofstra predicted, either will leave the box on the ballot for U.S. Senate empty or will vote for David Patterson, the libertarian candidate. The senator has alienated many Tea Partiers and has yet to reach out to bridge the gap, Hofstra said.
The divide was opened further, he added, by McConnell’s open support for Thad Cochran in the Mississippi Senate runoff and McConnell’s association with pro-Cochran ads that many conservatives assailed as race-baiting.
“If there were some people on the fence after what happened in Kentucky, the Mississippi incident really put them over the edge,” Hofstra said. Still, he noted that Tea Party dissatisfaction with McConnell wasn’t winning Grimes their votes. “I haven’t talked to anybody who would vote her.”
The usual mindless drones who always vote for Republicans – the Republican Robots, I call them – give me loads of crap for refusing to support RINOs like McConnell. What these people don’t understand is that the Gentry GOP war on conservatives is fueled and supported by what they think is a basic truth: “Where are they gonna go?”
In other words, the Gentry is convinced that in the end, almost all Republicans are mindless enough that, no matter how lousy a GOP candidate they are presented with – even candidates like McConnell, who are open enemies of the Tea Party – they will, in the end, meekly come around and pull the “R” lever on voting day.
They are certain that as long as that mindset remains, they will never pay a price for anything they do, no matter how outrageous, no matter how destructive to conservatism or the health of the nation and the liberties of its citizens.
We have to break that mindset. We have to destroy those feelings of invulnerability. The only thing that will teach that lesson is the one thing they fear – removing them from office. If we can’t defeat them in primaries, don’t support them in the general or, in extreme cases, vote for their Democrat opponent – a tactic I am recommending in regards to John Boehner’s re-election race in Ohio.
“But..but…cutting off your nose to spite your face…” they squawk.
No. I’m trying to cut out a cancer that is destroying the body of the GOP, and, eventually, the nation and her liberties, as the difference between the Gentry GOP Ruling Class and the Democrat Ruling Party Ruling Class grows ever more difficult to determine.
Repubican Robots are nothing more than useful tools for the Ruling Classes. They don’t understand that, but then, they aren’t really all that bright, either. That’s why they are tools.
