I say that like the Zimmerman case, this shooting was not about race, but unlike the Zimmerman case, there was no politically-motivated prosecution of accused-and-acquitted Roderick Scott.
In both cases, a young man lost his life because of a self-appointed para-policeman who carried a firearm patrolling for evil doers. Both Scott and Zimmerman had called police before the shooting occurred and both were not content to let the police come and do their job.
Both Zimmerman and Scott were acquitted of legal guilt of the deaths of the young men they killed. But their moral culpability can be erased by none but the power and grace of God. Both dead young men acted stupidly, but in both cases the blame for reaching that point rests, IMO, solely upon the shooters.
Kiss those state police uniforms, Don. Because we all know that only the state should have the power to defend the lives of the citizenry. And in this ideal police state, only the most highly trained storm-troopers qualify.
Why on earth do you carry a gun at all, Don? Just get rid of it. You don’t need it. You’ll always have the real, not the “para” police to protect you. Because, you know, if you carry a gun, you’re nothing more that a para-cop. After all, you have to have the mark of Leviathan in order to be morally legitimate.
