US To Use Drones In Chris Dorner Manhunt | Zero Hedge

We were hoping to evade coverage of the latest mass distraction du jour, that of the former LAPD officer Chris Dorner who recently went rogue following a three man murder spree and who has vowed to kill again as per his 6,000 word manifesto, but the US government had made it impossible following confirmation that the search for Dorner is now the first official drone-hunt in US history.

Ah. Okay.

So…under the new Obama policy of assassinating American citizens deemed “terrorists” without trial, do you think they’ll be going after him with drone-launched Hellfire missiles?  I mean, we’re already following a policy of “spray-and-pray” executions aimed at anybody even remotely resembling Dorner or his vehicle….

And how do you feel about that?

Consider this a test of your understanding of the Constitution and the rights protected by it versus the governmental powers enumerated therein.  (via Silverdeth – thanks!)

If, however, they are looking to terminate him with a bomb or missile from an armed drone, then we have crossed a Rubicon in this nation, where the government assumes it can kill American citizens ,at a distance on a whim, without due process. If that is the case, it merely escalates the possibility of an armed conflict breaking out between the would-be elites of the polimedia and those Americans who would remain free.

UPDATE:  BTW…Dorner knows the LAPD.  Is there any possibility, do you think, that he torched his truck to remove the incentive for amok LAPD cops to hose down random pickups with automatic weapons fire?

I am a small-l libertarian. My primary concern is to increase individual liberty as much as possible in the face of statist efforts to restrict it from both the right and the left. If I had to sum up my beliefs as concisely as possible, I would say, "Stay out of my wallet and my bedroom," "your liberty stops at my nose," and "don't tread on me." I will believe that things are taking a turn for the better in America when married gays are able to, and do, maintain large arsenals of automatic weapons, and tax collectors are, and do, not.

  1. Dorner torched his truck to bring the manhunt to the mountains. I seriously doubt if he was in the mountains when they found his truck. If he’s not already back in LA, he’s in a city with a large Black population that’s not fond of the Po-Po.
