NRA boycott kills outdoors show that banned assault weapons |

A massive boycott sparked by the NRA and other gun-rights groups outraged that the nation’s largest outdoors show banned the exhibition of assault weapons has caused the show’s organizers to abruptly cancel the week-long event in Harrisburg, Pa.

The successful boycott was the biggest demonstration of support by the outdoors industry and outdoorsmen yet against gun control efforts being pushed in Washington and in several states.

“Reed Exhibitions has decided to postpone, for now, the Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show given the controversy surrounding its decision to limit the sale or display of modern sporting rifles (also called ARs) at the event. The show was scheduled to take place February 2-10 in Harrisburg, Pa.,” the organizer said in a statement Thursday.

Crush them when they assault our liberties. Hit them thrice as hard. Destroy them!

Man, I can’t tell you how absolutely pleased I am with this outcome, and how proud I am of all those liberty-minded Americans who struck back at these vicious, evil bastards, even at the risk of their own economic well-being.

Bravo to you all! Maybe their is hope for liberty in America yet.

The fellating tool, hack propaganda leftist media will do its best to cover this up, so I hope everybody shouts it from the rooftops, so that statist, gun-grabbing politicians can see they have more than a little of their own hides in the game, and can end up being skinned in public just as these gun-grabbing tools did.

UPDATE:  Here is an updating list of all those vendors, sponsors, guests, and others who joined in the boycott to protect all our rights, whether they were connected with firearms or not:  ESOS Boycott List.  Some of them took significant financial hits to support us.  Please support them in return.  Thanks!

UPDATE:  Welcome, Instapundit readers – thanks, Glenn!

About Bill Quick

I am a small-l libertarian. My primary concern is to increase individual liberty as much as possible in the face of statist efforts to restrict it from both the right and the left. If I had to sum up my beliefs as concisely as possible, I would say, "Stay out of my wallet and my bedroom," "your liberty stops at my nose," and "don't tread on me." I will believe that things are taking a turn for the better in America when married gays are able to, and do, maintain large arsenals of automatic weapons, and tax collectors are, and do, not.
