Should children be allowed to learn to shoot guns under adult supervision?

That’s the poll.  It’s in the far lower right of the page.  Go vote.

Of course when I was a kid, I shot my .22 with no adult supervision whatsoever.  But thanks to hysterical nannies both female and male, those days are dead, I guess.

About Bill Quick

I am a small-l libertarian. My primary concern is to increase individual liberty as much as possible in the face of statist efforts to restrict it from both the right and the left. If I had to sum up my beliefs as concisely as possible, I would say, "Stay out of my wallet and my bedroom," "your liberty stops at my nose," and "don't tread on me." I will believe that things are taking a turn for the better in America when married gays are able to, and do, maintain large arsenals of automatic weapons, and tax collectors are, and do, not.

  1. Apparently, they’ve made at least some sort of stab at “anti-Astroturfing” it – I just voted “Yes” three times (or, more properly, tried to do so), and the totals stayed the same after all three tries (I had already voted “Yes” awhile ago, as I noted in a reply to the original posting/referencing over in Off-Topic And General Interest…) – low totals, too, still only 1,396 total votes showing after at least 5 or 6 hours – or more – of “polling”. Still – it’s CNN Online, you can’t really expect much traffic; its overall “readership” numbers, these days, must be about the same level as matchbook covers or the overhead ad placards in a Ukrainian subway car.

Interesting disclaimer on the “poll”: “This is not a scientific poll”…Really? No kiddin’? In that case – what’s the point??

Oh – I get it: There is no point, really – beyond CNN Online trying to appear to be actually, somehow “pertinent” to “current trends”…which is to say there is no point at all – just more pointless pixels from Progtards.
