Average Price of Electricity Climbs to All-Time Record | CNS News

(CNSNews.com) – For the first time ever, the average price for a kilowatthour (KWH) of electricity in the United States has broken through the 14-cent mark, climbing to a record 14.3 cents in June, according to data released last week by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Good thing nobody uses electricity, isn’t it?  Somebody might object when Obama tells them how low he’s kept inflation.

About Bill Quick

I am a small-l libertarian. My primary concern is to increase individual liberty as much as possible in the face of statist efforts to restrict it from both the right and the left. If I had to sum up my beliefs as concisely as possible, I would say, "Stay out of my wallet and my bedroom," "your liberty stops at my nose," and "don't tread on me." I will believe that things are taking a turn for the better in America when married gays are able to, and do, maintain large arsenals of automatic weapons, and tax collectors are, and do, not.

  1. Food, too, especially meat. I sure am glad that meat doesn’t make up 60% of the calories I eat or I’d be getting really poor right about now.

And college tuition. I’m glad that my boys’ tuition hasn’t gone up since last year.

Oh, and don’t forget taxes. It’s a good thing the property taxes haven’t gone up to “make up shortfalls” caused by “unexpectedly higher costs” for the school district* and the county government.

    * Which I’m not even using, what with paying private school tuition on top of property taxes.

Yep, it’s a good thing there’s no inflation to go along with stagnant wages.
