For one thing, police are still trying to figure out why Silverman was armed in the first place since bringing a gun to work is against the rules at the hospital.
“We do believe that there were some issues between the doctor and the patient, but whether or not he actually feared him is unclear,” said Delaware County District Attorney Jack Whelan.
He was armed because he was exercising his constitutionally guaranteed right to keep and bear arms. And that probably saved several lives, including his own.
But suicidally murderous gun grabbers, with their religious dependence on the fantasy of “gun free zones” (the hospital was so “protected” – how did that work out?) would much rather many more had died than one doctor had been armed and able to protect himself and others.
