Krauthammer’s Take: Shinseki Resignation was ‘Elaborate Theater’ | National Review Online

Krauthammer said the president is “trying to have it every which way,” and that Obama was waiting to push Shinseki ”on his sword” as part of an “elaborate theater, and all the scripts were written in advance.”

As I’ve been telling you all along.  Hey – is Der Kraut stealing from me, do you think?

I wish I made as much money for this stuff as he does, though.

Check out my new bestseller, Lightning Fall: A Novel of Disaster. Glenn Reynolds at Instapundit.com says: “Bill Quick has authored a terrific thriller that is also an all too plausible warning. Highly recommended!” Available in Kindle e-book or trade paperback formats.

About Bill Quick

I am a small-l libertarian. My primary concern is to increase individual liberty as much as possible in the face of statist efforts to restrict it from both the right and the left. If I had to sum up my beliefs as concisely as possible, I would say, "Stay out of my wallet and my bedroom," "your liberty stops at my nose," and "don't tread on me." I will believe that things are taking a turn for the better in America when married gays are able to, and do, maintain large arsenals of automatic weapons, and tax collectors are, and do, not.

Shocker! Even Krauthammer Follows My Lead — 3 Comments

  1. the president is “trying to have it every which way,”

Yah. The presduhdent is trying to take responsibility while blaming Bush:

In terms of responsibility, as I’ve said before, this is my administration; I always take responsibility for whatever happens, and this is an area that I have a particular concern with. This predates my presidency.

(It’s possible that he meant that his concern predated his presidency rather than the problem predated. I’m not buying it. Aside from his well-known (and well-mocked) tendency to blame others and especially GWB, I have it on good authority that he’s articulate and bright. Surely such a paragon could express exactly what he meant without unintentional ambiguity.)

  2. But his concern for and knowledge of this problem predate 2009Jan20 by a significant amount dating back to when he was on the Senate Armed Forces Committee and further during the 2008 presidential campaign and during the Bush/Obama transistion.

    So:
    1. He’s lying when claiming the problems just came to light
    2. His concern leads nowhere as he is lying about that too or just too incompentent for his concern to matter.
