European election results: UKIP confident of triggering a ‘political earthquake’ | Mail Online

  • Mr Farage suggested he aimed to destroy the Conservative Party, not make pacts with it.

The UK went to the polls on Thursday to elect 73 MEPs but many European countries did not vote until the weekend, which is why the results from all 28 member states are being announced tonight.

I wish we had a successful insurgent conservative political movement here in the US whose aim was to destroy the GOP, not make peace with it.

Check out my new bestseller, Lightning Fall: A Novel of Disaster. Glenn Reynolds at Instapundit.com says: “Bill Quick has authored a terrific thriller that is also an all too plausible warning. Highly recommended!” Available in Kindle e-book or trade paperback formats.

About Bill Quick

I am a small-l libertarian. My primary concern is to increase individual liberty as much as possible in the face of statist efforts to restrict it from both the right and the left. If I had to sum up my beliefs as concisely as possible, I would say, "Stay out of my wallet and my bedroom," "your liberty stops at my nose," and "don't tread on me." I will believe that things are taking a turn for the better in America when married gays are able to, and do, maintain large arsenals of automatic weapons, and tax collectors are, and do, not.

The UK and the rest of the Euro are further along the road to slavery than we, so, give it time. The beginnings are in the air. Another decade of the same and I think we will be there.
