With More Competition and Choice, Obamacare Might Not Be So Horrible – The Daily Beast

I’m not sure what’s going on with some Libertarians, but I’m beginning to think they’ll bend over for anything from the state as long as they get their legal pot, scamnesty, and a pacifist military.

The best answer:  Dump Obamacare, root and branch, and start over with a few givens:  A means for people with pre-existing conditions to get insurance without bankrupting themselves; a free-market competitive approach to insurance policies, with insurance companies allowed to market nationwide.  Make plans either portable, or remove insurance as a tax-free employee benefit.

The single biggest goal should be choice, the broader, the better.

About Bill Quick

I am a small-l libertarian. My primary concern is to increase individual liberty as much as possible in the face of statist efforts to restrict it from both the right and the left. If I had to sum up my beliefs as concisely as possible, I would say, "Stay out of my wallet and my bedroom," "your liberty stops at my nose," and "don't tread on me." I will believe that things are taking a turn for the better in America when married gays are able to, and do, maintain large arsenals of automatic weapons, and tax collectors are, and do, not.
