McMorris Rodgers says ACA likely to stay – Spokesman.com – April 25, 2014

With the news this week that more than 600,000 Washington residents have acquired new health care plans through the state exchange, U.S. Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers said it’s unlikely the Affordable Care Act will be repealed.

“We need to look at reforming the exchanges,” the Eastern Washington Republican said Thursday.

So Rand Paul and McMorris Rodgers say repeal is off the table.

I’m beginning to think the GOP should be off the table.

About Bill Quick

I am a small-l libertarian. My primary concern is to increase individual liberty as much as possible in the face of statist efforts to restrict it from both the right and the left. If I had to sum up my beliefs as concisely as possible, I would say, "Stay out of my wallet and my bedroom," "your liberty stops at my nose," and "don't tread on me." I will believe that things are taking a turn for the better in America when married gays are able to, and do, maintain large arsenals of automatic weapons, and tax collectors are, and do, not.

  1. American politicians are stupid parasites, with the emphasis here being “stupid”. A smart parasite bleeds its host, but not so much that it’s worthwhile to kill the parasite. (A very smart parasite goes unnoticed by the host.) A stupid parasite drains so much that the host will go to a lot of effort to get rid of it.

American politicians have set things up so it’s almost impossible to get rid of them through the ballot box. Even if one manages to be dislodged, his replacement will almost certainly be another parasite.

So, if the parasites must be removed and the ballot box isn’t working, what does that leave? The bullet box is about all that comes to mind. As I said, stupid.

In Other Words: “…It’s become increasingly evident that all efforts directed at either preventing this ship from sinking or even escaping before it does will be utterly futile…therefore, we must press ahead with improvements to existing deck-chair arrangements, and set up committees to advise regarding appropriate music to accompany the funerals to come…”

The Grungy Old Party: Continuing to commit suicide, and striving valiantly to take everyone else down with it in the process.
