Washington Post hires ultra-liberal former union bully | The Daily Caller

But lost in the media love fest was Bump’s partisan past — a history left unspoken in either the Post’s official announcement or any of the Twitter applause. Not only does Bump’s archive at The Wire betray a palpable bias in favor of progressivism; his career as a journalist began when he headed a vicious pro-labor blog which published the names and addresses of opponents later targeted by unions.

Apparently right from the beginning this guy knew he wanted to work for WaPo – or the NYT.  And he knew that in order to do that, he’d have to make his bones by collecting some scalps from the enemy.

Check out my new bestseller, Lightning Fall: A Novel of Disaster. Glenn Reynolds at Instapundit.com says: “Bill Quick has authored a terrific thriller that is also an all too plausible warning. Highly recommended!” Available in Kindle e-book or trade paperback formats.

About Bill Quick

I am a small-l libertarian. My primary concern is to increase individual liberty as much as possible in the face of statist efforts to restrict it from both the right and the left. If I had to sum up my beliefs as concisely as possible, I would say, "Stay out of my wallet and my bedroom," "your liberty stops at my nose," and "don't tread on me." I will believe that things are taking a turn for the better in America when married gays are able to, and do, maintain large arsenals of automatic weapons, and tax collectors are, and do, not.

  1. I’m guessing there is some kind of civil war going on inside the WaPo. If Bezos did not know about this hire, is this just a baiting tactic? If he bites and stops the hire then they cry “editorial interference!” real loudly. If he doesn’t then he loses a little internal power.

There is a lot of “ifs” in there so it is just a hypothesis that I think sounds plausible.
