The five extra words that can fix the Second Amendment – The Washington Post

“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms when serving in the Militia shall not be infringed.”

This wouldn’t “fix” the Second Amendment, it would destroy it.  That’s Stevens’s biggest lie in this article.  There are other lies, as well, in fact lies so numerous that I’m not going to bother listing them all.  Go read it for yourself, and see how many lies, of direct commission or ommission, you can find.

About Bill Quick

I am a small-l libertarian. My primary concern is to increase individual liberty as much as possible in the face of statist efforts to restrict it from both the right and the left. If I had to sum up my beliefs as concisely as possible, I would say, "Stay out of my wallet and my bedroom," "your liberty stops at my nose," and "don't tread on me." I will believe that things are taking a turn for the better in America when married gays are able to, and do, maintain large arsenals of automatic weapons, and tax collectors are, and do, not.

  1. Our Founders led an armed group of ordinary citizens in a successful rebellion against their oppressors led by a government 3000 miles away. Who in their right mind could think they then wrote a Founding Document curtailing that right in any way. Just stupidity or treason on these people’s part.
