Why Does the Leftist Media Want Jeb Bush? Because He’s a Guaranteed Loser, That’s Why

The Jeb Boomlet: Why journalists are promoting another Bush candidacy | Fox News

The story’s foundation is real; Jeb Bush could easily get the backing of the establishment wing of the party, which doesn’t want a hyper-conservative nominee in 2016.

Or ever.  That’s why we either have to destroy their influence on the GOP, or else replace the GOP with a party they don’t own outright.

About Bill Quick

I am a small-l libertarian. My primary concern is to increase individual liberty as much as possible in the face of statist efforts to restrict it from both the right and the left. If I had to sum up my beliefs as concisely as possible, I would say, "Stay out of my wallet and my bedroom," "your liberty stops at my nose," and "don't tread on me." I will believe that things are taking a turn for the better in America when married gays are able to, and do, maintain large arsenals of automatic weapons, and tax collectors are, and do, not.

  1. hyper-conservative

Ever notice there’s no such thing as a conservative in such discussions? No, anyone to the right of Jeb Bush or Chris Christie is hyper-conservative.

For example, Rick Perry, as far as the national media is concerned, is a “hyper-conservative,” which is a source of great amusement to people in Texas, who generally consider him to be kinda wishy-washy.
