Cullen acknowledged that Cruz’s tactics would likely win over conservative activists but questioned whether he has come to be viewed by centrists as too far to the right.
“I do think objectively it probably plays pretty well to the base,” he said.
“What’s your long-term aim?” Cullen added. “Are you interested in getting elected nationally? All you’re doing right now is setting up a political career that will hit its ceiling very quickly, and it’s a pretty low ceiling.”
Yeah. That ceiling is the Presidency of the United States, and the destruction of your Gentry GOP death-grip on the Republican Party.
Of course, these tools at The Hill go to supporters of losers like Mike Huckabee, the compassionate religious Marxist statist, for dispositive comments on Crus, and mirabile dictu, they get them!
I think it’s becoming quite obvious that Ted Cruz is the left’s worst nightmare, and that they are becoming more and more terrified of him. On the other hand, I think fewer Americans are listening to these people, or give a damn what they say.
Those are the people who’ve been turned off from politics by the Me-Too GOP, and the establishment is going to be shocked at how many of them come flooding back into the system to back a Cruz candidacy.
And just to twist their knickers into a bigger wet wad, most of the returnees are going to be white. I mean if Obama can “energize his black base,” why can’t Cruz energize his white one?
Oh, wait. That’s probably racist, isn’t it?
