About Bill Quick

I am a small-l libertarian. My primary concern is to increase individual liberty as much as possible in the face of statist efforts to restrict it from both the right and the left. If I had to sum up my beliefs as concisely as possible, I would say, "Stay out of my wallet and my bedroom," "your liberty stops at my nose," and "don't tread on me." I will believe that things are taking a turn for the better in America when married gays are able to, and do, maintain large arsenals of automatic weapons, and tax collectors are, and do, not.

  1. SteveF's deck, 2014/02/14

I’d guess the average depth is a bit under two feet, since that’s about how much snow we got last night. It’s hard to tell, on both the deck and the yard, because the wind has been so high that depth on the ground varies from nothing to about five feet.

(Not taking into account plowing. I had a, ah, robust workout clearing the end of the driveway so I could get my car off the street. That was after an almost-as-robust workout this morning, as well as digging my car out right after leaving work, it having been plowed in while I was at work. The good news is, I got my recommended 30 minutes of exercise, and then some.)

EDIT: OK, what’s the deal with images? I think this is the first time I’ve tried to put an image in a comment since the interface changed, and I can’t figure out how to make it work.

EDIT2: Problem was that I’d been using the URL of the uploaded image’s page rather than the URL of the image itself. I blame all confusion on global warming.
