News from The Associated Press

IRNA quoted Haddad as saying the fleet is approaching U.S. maritime borders for the first time. The Islamic Republic considers the move as a response to U.S. naval deployments near its own coastlines. The U.S. Navy’s 5th fleet is based in Bahrain, just across the Persian Gulf.

Oddly enough, we would defend their right to do this, as long as they don’t violate our treaty-defined territorial waters.

And we can always blow them to smithereens if that should become necessary.

About Bill Quick

I am a small-l libertarian. My primary concern is to increase individual liberty as much as possible in the face of statist efforts to restrict it from both the right and the left. If I had to sum up my beliefs as concisely as possible, I would say, "Stay out of my wallet and my bedroom," "your liberty stops at my nose," and "don't tread on me." I will believe that things are taking a turn for the better in America when married gays are able to, and do, maintain large arsenals of automatic weapons, and tax collectors are, and do, not.

  1. “The fleet, consisting of a destroyer and a helicopter-carrying supply ship…”

Fleet? I don’t believe fleet is the proper description here.

Those ships would mysteriously sink were I in charge…
