Rubio: Still Dead to Everybody But Clueless GOP Gentry

GOP insiders back Rubio in 2016 | TheHill

Sen. Marco Rubio’s (R-Fla.) political stock is rated a buy by major Republican fundraisers in Washington, who are bullish on Rubio’s future as a 2016 presidential candidate.

A group of Republican fundraising heavyweights and wise men in Washington’s business community are solidly behind Rubio, and see him not only as someone who could win the White House, but someone they can work with.

Of course.  They’ll be pushing their scamnesty buttboy harder than ever now that Jersey Fats looks to be swirling around the drain.

He’s not going to be the nominee.  The conservatives are slowly but surely taking the whip hand in the GOP, and they hate him for his treachery and lies on immigration.

By the way:  Wise men?  Where did the Stupid Party come up with Wise Men?

About Bill Quick

I am a small-l libertarian. My primary concern is to increase individual liberty as much as possible in the face of statist efforts to restrict it from both the right and the left. If I had to sum up my beliefs as concisely as possible, I would say, "Stay out of my wallet and my bedroom," "your liberty stops at my nose," and "don't tread on me." I will believe that things are taking a turn for the better in America when married gays are able to, and do, maintain large arsenals of automatic weapons, and tax collectors are, and do, not.

  1. Think about the ordinary meaning of wise man: someone who knows more than the common man or who can puzzle out trickier problems than the common man. Most people have some knowledge and some skills and can handle ordinary problems. The wise man is an amplification of these ordinary traits.

Now think about the establishment GOP. They can pragmatically set aside principle for short-term retention of power, while doing nothing to upset the GOP leadership. They can say things they think will further this goal. The GOP’s wise men are an amplification of this. Hence the backing of Rubio.
