STICK IT TO THE MAN: Reader Russ Pettit writes:

I live in one of those places where they have banned the use of plastic grocery bags.

They want to “train” us all to use reusable bags. I don’t like reusable bags. I never remember to put them in my car when I am going shopping. I also don’t think they are sanitary, as packages of meat tend to leak. More to the point, I don’t think plastic bags do any real harm to the environment.

This is all just about some people being able to tell other people how to live their lives. So anyway, I soved the problem with a quick visit to Amazon.

At the link below I bought a box of 5,000 bags just like the grocery store bags, at about half a cent per bag. I keep the box in my car and carry a few bags in when I shop. You should spread the word.

Done!

This is an excellent idea!   These bags are available here for only $25.99 for 1000: T-Shirt Carryout Bags – 1000 ct.

About Bill Quick

I am a small-l libertarian. My primary concern is to increase individual liberty as much as possible in the face of statist efforts to restrict it from both the right and the left. If I had to sum up my beliefs as concisely as possible, I would say, "Stay out of my wallet and my bedroom," "your liberty stops at my nose," and "don't tread on me." I will believe that things are taking a turn for the better in America when married gays are able to, and do, maintain large arsenals of automatic weapons, and tax collectors are, and do, not.
