Demand Your Candidates Make the Pledge to Repeal – And Accept No Substitutes

Change Is Obamacare’s Only Certainty – Bloomberg

In future years, small-business owners will manage their income more carefully in order to avoid popping the subsidy cap.

Note that in this seeemingly innocuous aside, Megan McArdle is admitting her belief that Obamacare will never be repealed, never go away, and will saddle us forever.

I think we really need to prove her wrong, starting with our votes for candidates who will publicly pledge to vote to repeal Obamacare if elected.

I really want to see that public pledge become ubiquitous – like Gingrich’s old Contract With America – if you don’t sign on, your chances of election or reelection sink drastically.

About Bill Quick

I am a small-l libertarian. My primary concern is to increase individual liberty as much as possible in the face of statist efforts to restrict it from both the right and the left. If I had to sum up my beliefs as concisely as possible, I would say, "Stay out of my wallet and my bedroom," "your liberty stops at my nose," and "don't tread on me." I will believe that things are taking a turn for the better in America when married gays are able to, and do, maintain large arsenals of automatic weapons, and tax collectors are, and do, not.
