The most underreported foreign news story of 2013 is the pogrom against Christians in Islamic countries. It is doubtful that there is a close second place finisher. The story is gruesome and the rationale for both the killing and the silence about it lies in a mainstream interpretation of Islam – one that is far more prevalent in the Middle East than the West will admit.
Amidst all the ginned up hysteria over the ravings of a duck-hunting religious bigot (yes, that’s exactly what he is), the rantings of a bunch of professional gay leftist panty-wetters, and the frenzied attempts by agitators to turn the issue into a gays-versus-Christians battle rather than one over freedom of expression, which is what this thing really is, I grow weary of watching, for the bazillionth time, a manufactured controversy that manages to make everybody look bad, and distracts from the real problems we face.
No, the total victory of the tiny gay minority over the huge mass of Christians, the suppression of the Christian religion, and the advent of re-education concentration camps for Christians who don’t choose to change their sexual “preference” to homosexuality, Is. Not. A. Problem.
Not in the miinds – or the reality – of anybody with even a modicum of rationality and intelligence. Because that scenario is a hysterical, hallucinatory fantasy spread by people who think anybody who disagrees with their God-given bigotry is trying to destroy their religion. And that is nuts.
Here’s the reality on the ground. The supposed all-powerful gay lobby can’t stop gays from being fired for being gay in 29 states in America. And Christians will be in the forefront of opposing any efforts to change that.
In the meantime, Christians and gays are actually being slaughtered by Muslims all over the world, but I hear no outcry about that threat from American Christians, American gays, or anybody else.
It’s all manufactured bullshit, folks. All of it.
Get a grip.
