Embattled Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius will testify before Congress next week about the botched rollout of ObamaCare’s insurance exchanges after rejecting GOP demands to appear this week.
We see this constantly. It is a canned response. Let the heat focus on one bureaucrat, have the bureaucrat resist congress to focus the heat even more tightly, then let the soap opera play out to its inevitable end, which will likely be the “retirement” of said bureaucrat with full benefits after deflecting effective measures to get to the bottom of the problem long enough for the problem itself to drift out of the public consciousness, after which it can be safely buried.
Some mid-level State Department hack is “at fault” for Benghazi. Some mid-level IRS hack is responsible for the scandal there. And now Sebelius is responsible for the failure of the Obamacare website.
Get it through your heads: These are underlings. They do what they are told to do.
Their orders originate in the White House, and nowhere else.
If Barack Obama wasn’t running a deeply corrupt regime, we wouldn’t be constantly seeing this sort of thing. But we do. Draw your own conclusions.
