If the Supreme Court won’t let the left ban guns, then the obvious solution is to ban ammunition. Nothing in the Second Amendment about a right to buy bullets, is there?
I predicted this. California is first in the nation. It’s an incremental step, a very small one, but it won’t be the last. Another thing to look forward to is “sin” taxes on ammunition.
Yeah, but I don’t know that this stuff will stand. Banning bullets functions in much the same way as other impediments to the exercise of Constitutionally guaranteed rights do – poll taxes, or regulatory fees on newspapers spring to mind.
OTOH, it’s possible that the courts will take the position that as long as bullets of some sort are available, then the Second is not being infringed by stuff like this.
