Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) is crafting a Senate GOP plan to raise the $16.7 trillion borrowing cap and bring an end to the government shutdown. Her plan would repeal the medical device tax and give federal agencies more flexibility to handle sequester cuts.
Yeah, I’d trust one of the biggest RINOs in the Senate to take the lead on “negotiating” with Obama. The only negotiations she’s capable of is figuring out how much the GOP will have to pay the Dems in order to surrender. Of course, she’s McConnell’s tool all the way in this, so I’m glad to see that Mark Levin announced he will campaign against McConnell in Kentucky next year, and for the best candidate to primary him. I’ll send money, just as I’ll be sending money to whatever Democrat runs against Boehner in his district. There’s no way a first term Democrat back-bencher in the House could be as dangerous to conservatism and liberty as Boehner has been – and Ruling Party hacks like Boehner need to learn the hard way that they must pay a price for their actions.
By the way, that “more flexibility to handle sequester cuts” is RINO-speak for “we’re going to eviscerate the sequester cuts, too.”
