What’s more, a new Rasmussen Reports poll finds that nearly half of all Americans–46 percent–believe that the nation would be less safe if only police and the military were allowed to have guns.”
What the gun grabbers don’t get is that the average male, in thinking about these mass slaugters, imagines himself involved and thinks that if he were ever to find himself in such a situation, having a gun in his hand with which to defend himself and others might be a very good idea.
Women, on the other hand, tend to think of such things without the male reflex to protect and defend, and so they ignore the situation, and imagine how much safer their world would be without all those nasty guns.
Women are more supportive than men of tougher gun control laws.
I suspect that the characterization should be “considerably more supportive,” but I don’t have access to the poll’s internals to confirm this.
