But two of the measures could profoundly change gun culture in the state, said Garen Wintemute, a professor of emergency medicine at UC Davis, where he directs the Violence Prevention Research Program.
One is SB374, which would ban semiautomatic weapons that have detachable magazines capable of rapid firing. Another is SB755, which would prohibit people convicted of public intoxication or driving under the influence of alcohol from purchasing or possessing firearms for 10 years.
Both of these would likely be overturned under Heller and McDonald by the first court to see them, but the Liberal-Fascist Party controlling the California legislature doesn’t care. They’ll just keep cranking this garbage out, throwing it against the judicial wall, and hoping that some of it sticks.
The Liberal-Fascist Party rules California, and that makes California a perfect example of the tyranny the Founders and Framers feared most: The tyranny of the majority, otherwise known as mob rule.
