Supporters of Venezuela’s Chavez devastated by his health setback | Reuters

(Reuters) – Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez’s adoring supporters prayed and wept on Tuesday over a serious setback in his battle against a cancer that threatens to end his 14-year rule of the South American OPEC member.

“There is so much sadness and confusion,” said one die-hard “Chavista,” Marisol Aponte, a community worker in the slums of Caracas, her voice choking with emotion. “But we must be strong and put into practice all that he has taught us.”

Yeah. Murder, state-sponsored theft, economic collapse, all the usual horsemen that come riding with commie dictators like him.

So choke on it. The taste of your tears is sweet, sweet, sweet. As is the contemplation of Hugo Chaves dying slowly and in unbearable agony.

About Bill Quick

I am a small-l libertarian. My primary concern is to increase individual liberty as much as possible in the face of statist efforts to restrict it from both the right and the left. If I had to sum up my beliefs as concisely as possible, I would say, "Stay out of my wallet and my bedroom," "your liberty stops at my nose," and "don't tread on me." I will believe that things are taking a turn for the better in America when married gays are able to, and do, maintain large arsenals of automatic weapons, and tax collectors are, and do, not.

  1. I do not think there is any amount of “time” that would enable him to arrive at that perception — unless he already knows, and couldn’t care less, which is what I suspect.
