Republicans Turn Against John Roberts, U.S. Supreme Court

PRINCETON, NJ — Americans’ opinions of U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts are now much more negative than they were seven years ago, with the most recent reading coming soon after he joined the four Democratic appointees on the court to uphold the U.S. healthcare law. Republicans’ favorable rating of Roberts is down 40 percentage points from 2005, while Democrats’ is up 19.

He made his bed.

Now let him rot in it.

And once again, thanks, GWB! How’s that legacy of yours doing these days, anyway?

Near as I can tell, even people who worked for you are politically toxic. And you? You’re the Fukushima of GOP Presidents. Everything you touched turned to radioactive crap.

About Bill Quick

I am a small-l libertarian. My primary concern is to increase individual liberty as much as possible in the face of statist efforts to restrict it from both the right and the left. If I had to sum up my beliefs as concisely as possible, I would say, "Stay out of my wallet and my bedroom," "your liberty stops at my nose," and "don't tread on me." I will believe that things are taking a turn for the better in America when married gays are able to, and do, maintain large arsenals of automatic weapons, and tax collectors are, and do, not.

While his true “legacy” continues to frustrate and bedevil everyone else.

(Say, maybe Li’l Obambam actually has a point – maybe it is pretty much all Bush’s fault, after all…some major-league suckage, that is…)

(BTW, Bill – it seems the “View Comments/Hide Comments” button may have stopped working again; plus, as you may likely already be aware, the “Return To Main Page” thingy is still not showing up. Not a real big problem, just thought you might like a progress report. As always, there are work-arounds…)

  2. Hmm-m-m…worked that time – must be on my end…

Ah, well – sorry ’bout that, still trying to run FF v.12.somethingorother here, although v.13 keeps trying to kick the door down, maybe that’s part of the problem – might as well give in and see what happens. Transition to 12 from 11 was not pleasant, though…
