* Rep. Michael Ferguson [R-NJ]
* Rep. Christopher Shays [R-CT]
* Rep. Michael Castle [R-DE]These five supposed Republican are nothing more than jackasses in elephant’s clothing. Rep. Mark Kirk has introduced a bill, H.R. 6257: Assault Weapons Ban Reauthorization Act of 2008, which would “reinstate the Public Safety and Recreational Firearms Use Protection Act.” The bill has been co-sponsored by the other four jackasses listed above. All of them claim to be Republicans.
We need to find a way to punish these RINOs. Any suggestions?
I thought the Dems would be the stupid party that would touch one of the true third rails of American politics. I should have known that when it comes to sheer, self-destructive stupidity, the RINO party has no peers.

Spray-paint “Home Of A RINOAssWipe” on their garage doors?
Beat them - electorally, then literally - within an inch of their lives? Preferably, with a copy of the Constitution (appropriately printed on a razor-wire-wrapped brick)?

The conservative blogosphere must lead an effort to target these asswipes with defeat. Elect a genuine commie in there place if required. Until we rid ourselves of “conservatives” of there ilk, we are doomed.
RINO’s overused, to the point where it’s lost it’s impact. I propose we start calling them the Vichy Republicans, with John McCain as Marshall Petain. If someone doesn’t get the reference, tell them to rent ‘Casablanca’ again and take notes this time.
That’s futile, John. First, nobody under the age of 45 or so has any notion what “vichy” means, and second, rent a black and white film?

If you want something with a modern cultural referent, how about we call them “Beltway Borg?” They’ve been assimilated into the DC collectivist collective, after all.
Or, how about RINOs, an acronym for Republicans In Name Only, a perfectly useful and descriptive term?

I’m well under 45, Casablanca is one of my favorite movies of all time, and I could teach High School History in my sleep - if the Left hadn’t gone and replaced it with PC-dreck-Social Studies - but I didn’t take it personally. I’m not normal.
My point. You aren’t normal or, god forbid, even average.
Let me put it this way: the number of Americans who understand both the meaning and intent of applying “vichy” as a description, as well as enjoy a familiarity with the film “Casablanca” is not large enough to provide a substantial foundation for doing away with RINO.
