Sharp as a Marble – Want to have everyone hate a particular caliber?
Carry as much gun as you can reliably handle, that you can afford to practice with, and that you are comfortable with relying on to save your life.
I’d add, “And that fits the requirements of any given CC circumstances in which you find yourself.
But that’s just me.
About Bill Quick
I am a small-l libertarian with conservative leanings on most issues, except on many traditionally conservative social issues, where my stance would be regarded as hopelessly liberal by most social conservatives. My primary concern is to increase individual liberty as much as possible in the face of statist efforts to restrict it from both the right and the left. If I had to sum up my beliefs as concisely as possible, I would say, "Stay out of my wallet and my bedroom," "your liberty stops at my nose," and "don't tread on me." I will believe that things are taking a turn for the better in America when married gays are able to, and do, maintain large arsenals of automatic weapons, and tax collectors are, and do, not.
Absolutely. My carry rotation spans the spectrum from a full sized 10mm when I can down to a KelTec P3AT when I can’t. Would I prefer to carry something with a bit more punch than the .380? Of course.
But it’s better to carry *some* gun rather than none, and there are times when lugging around a 2 1/2 pound of metal and plastic isn’t conducive to keeping one’s shorts on.
Get* a good strong set of suspenders. Then you’ll be able to carry the gun on one side and the computer on the other with no problem. An extra advantage is that the computer will give you a little extra protection, especially if you attach a handle to it so it could be whipped up to protect some more vital area than the hip as you shoot with the other hand.
* – If this post sounds ridiculous, it’s supposed to be. Normally I wouldn’t alert the reader this way, but I thought a bonehead might read the comment and not understand, so I included the alert as a courtesy.
Just carry the computer in front covering from waist down.
90% of the time, it’s my S&W 637 in .38+P. Works for me, YMMV, others may differ, etc.
Sometimes I’ll take the .357 Mag, if I’m feeling daring and the weather’s cold enough for a coat (which can cover the 6″ barrel).
