DRUDGE REPORT 2012®

NON-ROMS RUNNING OUT OF TIME

Matt is looking more and more as if he’s in the tank for Romney. Pity. When he started out, Drudge was about as non-establishment as it was possible to be. Now he is the establishment – at least as far as the MSM goes.

About Bill Quick

I am a small-l libertarian with conservative leanings on most issues, except on many traditionally conservative social issues, where my stance would be regarded as hopelessly liberal by most social conservatives. My primary concern is to increase individual liberty as much as possible in the face of statist efforts to restrict it from both the right and the left. If I had to sum up my beliefs as concisely as possible, I would say, "Stay out of my wallet and my bedroom," "your liberty stops at my nose," and "don't tread on me." I will believe that things are taking a turn for the better in America when married gays are able to, and do, maintain large arsenals of automatic weapons, and tax collectors are, and do, not.

The biggest problem with the primary/caucus season is the sense of inevitability that comes of winning 1 or 2 of the early votes in -sorry for people who live there- relatively unimportant states, electorally speaking. Everyone hops on the bandwagon and others give up. So if Mitt does win SC, I’d say that the bandwagon effect could lead to a sweep. If someone else wins SC? All bets are off, especially since it looks like Santorum actually won Iowa, meaning that Mitt is 1 for 2 and received fewer votes this year than he did in 2008.
